Cairo, Egypt, 24 September 2014 – Maire Tecnimont attended the event hosted in Cairo by General Electric (GE) for its 40-year partnership with Egypt. In the occasion, Maire Tecnimont Chairman Fabrizio Di Amato participated in the panel discussion entitled: “Accelerating Growth: Customer, Capabilities and Capital” together with Jeffrey Immelt, GE’s Chairman & Chief Executive Officer; Basil El Baz, Chairman of Carbon Holdings; and Nada Shousha, Manager for Egypt, Libya & Yemen at the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group.

The discussion panel focused on public-private partnership as a valid support to drive sustainable development in Egypt.  During the course of the discussion, at the presence of more than 200 guests from the industry and the financial community, the country’s economical and industrial challenges were addressed, alongside with the main new projects under development in the Country, including the Tahrir Petrochemical Complex, developed by Carbon Holdings in partnership with General Electric and Maire Tecnimont.
